3rd Annual RPG.NET Game Day  12/14/2008 11:58 PM

Saturday, January 10th, 2008, 12:00p.m. - 8:00p.m. Members of RPG.net who reside in the Massachusetts area are getting together for a day of open gaming including RPGs, board games, card games and genuinely fun games. They are always looking for new people to join in, and spectators are okay too. Raymond Bull is the organizer, and can be contacted at raymondjbull(AT)aol(DOT)com. 2009 Magic: the Gathering Vintage Challenge Series Mox Pearl  12/14/2008 11:36 PM

Saturday, January 24th, $25, 11:00a.m. start time: We'll be hosting the 1st in a series of Vintage Challenges where the prize is one of the Power 9 cards. We're starting with a Mox Pearl, and if all goes well there will be 9 tournaments, ending with a Black Lotus in December! (don't get your hopes up, it will probably be beaten to all hell in order for the store to afford such a thing). Additional Store Credit or Cash Prizes will be handed out based on attendance.

For this event, the store will be open early for registration only starting at 10:00a.m. Preregistration is accepted by posting to our forum in response to this post, e-mailing chris@pandemoniumbooks.com, or by calling the store.

This will be a 15 proxy event, and while it is unsanctioned, we'll be running at a competitive rules enforcement level to ensure fair play. Deck lists will be required, swiss rounds based on attendance with a cut to top 8.

Magic: the Gathering Standard Constructed Cash Tournament Saturday, December 20th, 2008, $25 entry, Come play for cash! This tournament will have all of the money that would have been a store credit prize turned into a Cash Prize! Casual and competitive players welcome, but not for the light of heart. Swiss rounds based on number of players, top 8 single elimination rounds. Breakdown for 32 Players: 1st: $250.00 2nd: $150.00 3rd - 4th: $50.00 5th-8th: $25.00 9-12th: 3 Packs Shards of Alara Let's make this a great tournament to remember, and if all goes well, we'll add Standard Constructed events to our regular special event rotation on the calendar.
